Who we are
The New Jersey Association of Naturopathic Physicians (NJANP) is a 501c3, non-profit organization established in 2018. Our mission is to achieve regulation and licensure of naturopathic physicians in the state of New Jersey who attended a 4-year naturopathic medical program recognized by the Council on Naturopathic Medical Education (CNME). Furthermore, our focus is on providing education and awareness of the profession and its role in offering cost-effective, efficacious, and safe means of treating disease to the public and legislators alike.

The “Naturopathic Doctors Licensing Act” (A4455) is a New Jersey bill that would create a State Board of Naturopathic Examiners within the Division of Consumer Affairs and require licensure for anyone using the title “naturopathic doctor.” The bill defines naturopathic medicine as a distinct primary care system focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease, and it sets clear standards for education, board exams, continuing education, ethics, and discipline for naturopathic doctors.
